The Forest fringe is Awesome!

I've been here just one night and morning and already i'm convinced that this place is awesome, the performance space is big and beautiful and the cafe, gallery, hairdressers and shop are all top notch too. If i can get hold of a digital camera i'll post some photos, i'm off to volunteer, more updates later.

The Flaw Set Photos on Flickr

Check out photos on Flickr from The Flaw Set in May, which was something of a Residence take over. We had toasts raised by Kettle of Fish, songs from The Wonder Club, an interpretation of Joni Mitchell's Blue by Tom Marshman and Iain Morrison, Ed Rapley and The Special Guests.

Here's the link. Enjoy.

Here are some 'before' shots of Residence's new home at The Island at Bridewell Police Station... It's early days, but we're stripping paint, glossing, scrubbing and cleaning like there's no tomorrow!

This week at BAC Action Hero and Tom Marshman are showing work as part of the burst festival and Lyn Garnder's Guardian blog has recommended you see both shows.

M-M-Mayfest

Hi Hi,

A reminder about Action Hero and Drunken Chorus this Monday at the Tobacco Factory. If you haven't seen Drunken Chorus before, they're a really lovely company and Lost and Found is a great show - well worth catching Residence's North West contemporaries! And of course Residence's own Action Hero. It's a bargain night with tickets at £8 (£6 conc), so that's basically £4 (£3) a show......
