Incidents

I am looking for Incident Books or excerpts from Incident Books from pubs and bars across the UK.

I want to read them out as a performance: a litany of drunkenness and violence.

All names & locations will be changed to protect those involved. All submissions will be treated in confidence.

If you have access to an Incident Book but cannot send it to me you can email photos of interesting pages, just get in touch here.

You can also post Incident Books directly to Residence:

Residence Look Club

Look Club is to shows as Book Club is to books: You all watch the same show and at some point meet up and discuss it.

Any Residence member can suggest a show to see and a time to discuss it, they are then responsible for telling people about it, turning up, and providing tea & biscuits.

If you want to attend the only thing you need to do is to see the show in question.

*The next Look Club is at 7pm Friday 11th June at The Milk Bar, 11 St Nicholas Street, Bristol. We will be discussing Far Away which is running at the Bristol Old Vic for 3 more nights.*

We see Frontman as the third piece in a series that started with A Western and continued with Watch Me Fall.

mixtape at Bristol Old Vic

We’re doing a VERY short VERY loud performance at the Forest Fringe Microfestival at Bristol Old Vic in May. The festival itself will be brilliant so I recommend you come along and see everything that’s happening anyway but would also be lovely if you found your way to our little showing.

Sleepwalk Collective

Following a residency at Residence in May 2009 (and a performance at Bristol’s Mayfest) the Sleepwalk collective returned the favour by inviting Residence artist Tom Marshman to participate in their festival Factoria de Fuegos in October 2009.

Residence in Residence

Tobacco Factory kindly allowed us to take over their building for two days. We decided to use the space to create a temporarily expanded version of what Residence does. The most effectual element of our organisation is how it puts the SOCIAL at the centre of our work. Merely by being in regular contact with other artists we’ve all benefited. So Residence in Residence tried to do the same thing. Simply bring artists, producers and programmers together in the same space.
